Autism affects one out every 166 children.
Few of us are not touched by it.  Few understand it.

 While it is difficult to understand the world of a child with autism, it is easy to understand they have special needs. 

 For almost forty years The Timothy School has addressed these special needs for children with autism and their families.  They have provided a sense of hope, a safe place for children, a source of expertise, and a center to focus on improvement through ongoing innovative methods that teach social, cognitive, and life skills.  In essence, The Timothy School “Teaches Children to be Children!”

 Families have gained their children back, enjoying community activities that others take for granted.  A simple activity like shopping for groceries is a celebration of family togetherness. 

 The Timothy School teaches from the heart, seeing each child’s individual needs and mapping goals that result in improvement.  Students travel from the surrounding five counties and they travel these distances for the quality education that they and their families receive.

 Dig deep and give from your heart.  Share your good fortune so The Timothy School can share this fortune with their children.  The Giving Heart Campaign will provide students with the following enhanced learning options: 

• Development of an Occupational “Sensory Center” Room          
• Supplemental Student Computer Software
• Renovation of the Playground Safety Surface                 
• Community Experience Trips              

 This Holiday Season, consider giving a contribution as a holiday gift.  Donations can be made in the name of a family member, friend, or business associate.  A special gift card, designed by a Timothy School student, will be sent in your name to each person on your “Gift Giving List.”
